Asked

LCD REPLACEMENT How to connect display data cable?

History

Hi everyone !

I've followed steps 1-8 and have managed to remove my broken screen :) So far, so good.

Now I'm trying to put the new screen in and am having a terrible time trying to connect the display data cable to the new LCD. I am having a really hard time trying to fit into the socket and I cant properly close the retaining clip.

Does anybody have any tips on how to do this ? They would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks :)

Yavanna

Im afraid of using any tools ( metal ) because everyone talks about the connector being really fragile

I managed to complete step 8. I'm trying to replace the screen, thats when I'm having trouble ( reconnecting the display data cable to the new screen) , the display data cable seems to have receded and the whole thing has become very tricky!

Last 4 numbers ( serial ) : 2F5X.

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. I find impossible to connect the data cable. If only it was longer or I had more hands...
