Need to create bootable DVD
How can I make a bootable DVD from Drive Genius software installed on my mac? I need to boot from this DVD in order to perform tasks on my internal HD, and I can't locate the ISO file.

try changing the extension on the DMG to .ISO (After you make a backup copy) then burn it
That worked, it copied the DVD but it wont boot, it goes to the screen that u drag the app into the applications folder. Thats before I even put the activation key so I dont think that will be bootable.
Maj I see you accepted my answer. Please un-accept it as I really didn't get you a viable answer. Besides I'm maxed out on points for today ;-)
Ok Mayer, but you did get me going on the right track so I'll unaccept today but re-accept tommorow so you can get points. you have been a great help.
How do I boot up to optical drive? Is it with the "c" key? Im really getting flustered by this now. Cant sleep till i get it done.

this doesn't answer your original question, but as an alternate idea, have you tried creating a bootable USB flash drive? maybe that will help you do what you need to do
I've not tried this myself, but it seems easy enough and I've heard other people say they've successfully done it. according to the article it needs a 16GB flash drive (but I seem to recall hearing someone say they've done it using an 8GB flash drive...)
Here are some instructions to Create an Emergency OS X Boot Device Using a USB Flash Drive
if that works, then you could put your other Drive Genius software on the USB drive then boot from that?

All you have to do is take the provided .iso file, drag it into disk utility, insert a DVD, and hit burn.
