PowerBook Keeps Turning Off, Overheating? Help!

History

Hi, i have a Powerbook G4 17" Aluminium that constantly switches itself off.

The battery is fine, and i've tried running it with the DC board unplugged but i'm still getting the same results. It just goes off after about 5 minutes, meaning i cant install OSX! Is this an overheating issue? The laptop doesnt feel hot at all really but ususally something just turning itself off is heat related?

In other words... Help!!!!

Thanks

Try booting from the system installation disk to see if it is a hardware or software issue. "C" key

I've tried more than one installation disk. The hard disk is fine as it was working previously in another laptop. I think it's a hardware issue. I do kinda know what i'm doing with regards to motherboards, are there any specific components in the G4 to look out for heatwise? Thanks
