my mac started moving really slowly, i asked someone about the flashing file with a question mark on it, they said my computer couldn't find the operating system. How do I go about fixing this?

insert your operating system boot disc. turn the computer on and hold down the "C" key. you should be able to reinstall your operating system from here.
