Its difficult to obtain a definite answer. Here is a link debating the use of memory cards to increase memory. Hope this is of some help to you.
Hp Touchpad only came with only (2) memory formats. Which of course is internal 16gb and 32 gb. However there are a number of available methods to expand your memory. By the use of cloud computing. Dropbox, Box , Sugar Sync, Skydrive and Ubuntu One. All of the mention is available through the "Cloud" .
