image disappears when screen is at more than 90 degress

History

I have a PowerBook G4. Both the computer and its image are in perfect order but when I move the screen down, away from me, more than 90 degrees the image disappears. When I move it back it reappears without a problem. How can I fix this?

The "don't do that"answer was not helpful. The image simply disappear whatever angle you view the screen from. So the other answer seems the solution: I will take the laptop to an Apple store and get a new inverter cable. Thanks a million.

You need to install a new inverter cable. The cable goes from the logic board to the inverter board in your screen via the hinge, Must be cut in the hinge,
