Is it possible to Upgrade the processor?

History

I have an early 2006 model MacBook pro and i'd like to know whether or not the processor can be upgraded or not?

I am considering the i5 if it's possible!

Edited by

Okay thanks, i'll just have to hang on until i can get a new one! In the meantime though, there are a few things i CAN upgrade, hehe!

Shaun,

you might want to check with us BEFORE you spend any money

mayer,

The only things I would possibly consider upgrading on this would be RAM (Don't go over 4Gb the OSX kernal and EFI that support that are 32 bit and can't understand more.) Next would be hard drive, go with a WD (Western Digital) black or blue 7200 rpm. The black is worth the extra money if you are going to keep this machine. Go for the blue if you are planning on ditching this in a year and getting a better machine.
