stuck on loading bar..

it made a load sound the loading bar popped up and it stays that way.

Start up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and holding down the "C" key and press the start button. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities > Disk Utility. Select your hard drive in the left hand column. Run repair on it till it runs clear. Next repair your permissions. Let us know your results please.
