Over time, screws inside of a computer can loosen from the vibrations produced by normal usage. Chances are, that screws for a hard drive or fan have come lose, and are letting the component vibrate and produce the "humming" noise you are hearing. This guide will help you disassemble the computer down to the logic board. I recommend going throught the whole thing tightening screws on fans, and drives.
