2009 MacBook Pro won't dim or go to sleep why?

History

Hi guys,

Everytime I close the lid on my macbook pro the screen would remain on and not dim or go to sleep.

On two occasions the battery just ran out and the system was very hot.

What can I do to fix this issue?

I just replaced my logic board 5 days since my old board usb ports was going bad.

I tried resetting all the cables inside twice to see if something is not connected but I am still having the issue?

Guys could it be a damaged logic board from Ifix it or is there a particular cable or setting that does it

Thanks?

Please give us the last three figures of your serial number so we know exactly which MacBook you're working on. Thanks

Check your connections on the sleep sensor cable. If damaged, replace it. Here's the cable: http://www.rsparry.com/lcd-cable-flex-ca...
