Why wont it let me download updates?

My xbox always has good connection but it now all of a sudden, and when i test the connection it has good connection.

Slow internet connection can be caused by just about anything, however, try this; Unplug your modem (From the mains), wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Then, do the same thing to your router. Is the internet slow on your computer, or any other devices on your network?

no none of my internet is slow i dont know why its happening just to my xbox.

well i went on to system settings...internet thing...and went to restore to factory settings...this seemed to work

ps. im connected to laptop which is connected to router
