Replacement screen powers on but is black or white.

Hello,

I bought a replacement lcd and installed it according to the videos. The screen powers on but there is nothing displayed (black). I performed a few hard resets and a restore using iTunes. The phone is still "on" because I can switch is to vibe mode and it will vibe, I can also turn on voice command by holding the home button and it works properly. The kicker, however is that it used to be on but black. After the hard resets and the restore+firmware restore on iTunes, iTunes tells me that I need to insert my SIM card, which I do. After the phone powers up again, the screen is now white...

I have checked all the connections. I even unplugged all the way up to #7 in order and replugged them.
