Interchangeable motherboard MacBook black to white?

History

I'd like to exchange my white macbook 2.2 motherboard (broken) with the black macbook 2.2 should there be any reason why it wouldn't work?

mayer is 100% correct, the only thing he left out is they must be the exact same board, no substitute boards. The reason is because halfway thru the make of this machine, they switched to energy saver boards which use different connections

Yes, Functionally it will work fin but cosmetically you may not like it. The only difference is the color of the ports. (ethernet, USB, etc) It will stand out a lot more than you think.

With the exception of the MagSafe board (which is not attached to the logic board, aren't all the internals on the ports gray? They are on the white machines.

mayer,

eTechParts is correct in that the metal ports on the black MacBook are Black. But did not find them to be too distracting on the two Ive done.
