Can I use the power supply from my 17" for my 20"

History

I have a working 17" IMac bit the screen is going and picked up a 20" iMac " for free" and am told just needs new power unit? Can I swap mine

Interchanging power supplies is not the problem. Look at the indentation where the brace that screws in from the outside. Some are in the middle but most of the 20" are offset to the right. If you can use some dikes and cut that screw and brace off it will probably work.

So it will with some manipulation ; )
