How and where do I sell my MacBook Pro Parts?

History

My MacBook Pro finally died on me. The logic board is fried, but every other part is in perfect working order, and the casing is impeccable (I take great care of my babies!). I'm just wondering how and where do I sell the parts? Thanks!

Hey, do you still have that machine or have you got a buy for it for parts? Let me know!!

Charles Fisher,

If iFixit isn't interested my contact info is in my profile.

ABCellars,

I sent ifixit an email the other day and am just waiting on a response. I still have the computer and will get a service report to show that everything else works and then I'll contact you guys. Thanks for your interest!

andrewbonnenfant,

@Charles Fisher: the MacBook Pro is still available if you're interested. Contact me here and we'll exchange info if you want. Thanks!

andrewbonnenfant,

Hello there, what is the price that you have in mind

We don't buy individual parts, but if you want to sell your whole machine, then follow this link.

I usually look on eBay for part computers, and may sell quicker there

Craigslist is better if you don't mind losing a portion of money ebay would get you

This is how i got into repair

Before,i wouldn't take on repair, but i knew enough about computers i would try it out

After i seen iFixit:welcome to repair 2.0,i decided i would try repair

I started with 80$ to spend, parts and computers that were broken

I bought 3 dell P4HT systems for 20$ and 1 Dell Pentium Dual Core for 20$ at the time broken

I got them from the same time using parts i had on hand, tools on hand, computers i was going to dump anyway, and small budget

3 times out of four, all i needed was a power supply or capacitors(my dad has a soldering iron) and i fixed all of these dells for 2-3$ a capacitor and this is why i got Dells

I was actually impressed and have sold these already for more them i paid(2 P4 dells got 40$ and the PDC got 80$)

I got into it at that point, and i will find free computers on the curb, trash, craigslist and sometimes ebay, but i mostly tell people i collect them broken or working

I agree with nicksmacandpchelp. I sell dead MacBooks On eBay and get $100 for older G4s and the last dead macbook pro got me $180 for the display (working) and $145 for the bottom half that had bad logic board and bad keyboard. Without H D nor DVD.

I'm not entirely sure what to sell the machine for, as iFixit didn't offer a price. Reason being they either had too many of my parts in stock or there wasn't enough demand. Why don't you email me at andrewbonnenfant@gmail.com if you're still interested and we'll work something out. Thanks!

Price is usually determined by supply and demand. Something like a MacBook Pro 17" would bring some decent money. Please list the last three figures of your serial number so we can tell exactly which machine you have. I could then determine an offer.
