iPod touch 1st gen. used to charge on car charger
my 1st gen iPod stopped charging on computer (wouldn't even be recognized) then a couple months later it wouldn't charge on wall charger...then a couple more months later it wouldn't charge on car charger...I'm out of ways to charge it! What could be the problem...I cant' find any info on replacing the 'charger port"...is is something else? Can it be fixed at a reasonable price or should I start looking at new ones?

Andrea, the first thing I would change is the battery. It is possible that you kept it alive longer than its lifespan by increasing the amperage of the devices you used to charge it with. The USB port having the least amount of amperage and the car charger the highest. Start there, if you have not had any other damage to it. Keep your dock connector clean, remove any lint etc, check for corrosion and bent pins. I would not think about replacing anything else just yet. Good Luck
