White screen, Snow Leopard

Machine on for several hours. Twice while visiting NY Times site, white screen appears. Have to turn off and restart. Is this a software or hardware problem? How do I get it to stop. Recently upgraded to Snow Leopard, is this source of problem?

Was asked to see if safari was not affected. yesterday, neither locked up. today, mouse moved, but not able to access any programs. tried various combinations of the command-alt-escape with no luck. this is feeling like i have screwed up something with upgrade to snow leopard.

any other suggestions out there?

If this only happens with the NY Times site it could be a glitch with their software. If possible try with a different browser and see if you still have the same problem.

There are several reasons for that :

1. the temparature of the battery or the motherboard is too high, so do not let it work for a long time.

2. there is a leakage of electricity inside.

3. the battery has an unstable power supply.

4. you have to replace the screen.

And there also maybe have software problems .
