USB devices don't work

History

The USB devices on the Back of the iMac don't work.

Can I change those?

Is there a seprate power adaptor for these devices?

The USB ports connect directly to the logic board. Sometimes a device can burn them out. I would try the smallest device (like a keyboard) in each of the USB ports to see if you can find one that still works. You can then attach a USB hub for multiple outlets. But first I would examine the devices you are using to see which one may have burned it out. Midi devices have been know to do this.

I am now showing my Mac ignorance...;-) does the OS not have a device manager where one can check to see if the devices are recognized? i.e Windows, where one can see the device and can see if they are not functioning because of driver conflicts etc..??

So you are meaning that I can't change the USB-ports. Because it is part of the logicboard
