Mac shut down when power disconnects

History

Hello. It functions perfectly when connected to power. Battery has power (according to LED´s). Local shop has "tested" the machine. Suggest that there is a bad connection on the motherboard from power supply (suggesting to change all motherboard I guess) Anybody has a clue... ?

Thanks (from a drummer, not a rocketengineer...)

I'd replace the battery connector. Check the logic board connector first. Here's how: Installing MacBook Core Duo Battery Connector

Here's the part: MacBook Battery Connector/Sleep Sensor (non-Energy Star)

clean the battery/motherboard connectors. it sounds like not all of the battery contacts are connecting.

this sounds like a logical explanation as if a computer is missing its 5V(almost every thing needs this), 1.5V(gpu, cpu and some others), 3V(bios/cmos, timer/clock etc) or 12V(every thing else) the computer will turn off or malfunction.
