Memory Upgrade from 1066 Mhz to 1333Mhz

Hi,

I was wondering what happens if I install SODIMM DD3 1333Mhz memory instead of 1066 Mhz on my Mac Mini 4.1 (A1347).

Thanks in advance.

It may run and it may not. The bus speed is 1066 MHz so that's your bottleneck. Over the years I've found that boards are rated at a certain minimum but may actually run faster. Two identical machines and one may run 10-20% faster

Won't work link:

Will but mostly won't:

You'll do much better using "matched memory": http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ma...

i have installed recently 2 sticks of Kingstn memory running at 1333Mhz and 4gb x 2 (not paired) and it rocks! it seems that if the bus speed is 1066 and the ram is 1333 it will work. But remember to reset the pram after the ram switch....command-alt-p-r................

Even though it worked, did you run any benchmark tests on both sets of RAM?
