Charging slowly, does not hold charge very long

Hi Guys,

my iPhone took a lot of time to charge (about 10 Hours) and the charge did not hold very long (maybe 1 hour of gaming). I also noticed that if i plugged it in my pc, the battery will drain out after a while ... seems like the battery uncharges faster then the pc can charge it.

So i thought it might be the battery and i replaced the battery with a 1600mah battery. Unfortunately, i have the same issue like with the old battery :( Could it be that there is some other part resposible for this?

Any advice would be highly appreciated!!!

Cheers

Jason

Unfortunately, it sounds like the logic board might be at fault and that part is not available for sale :(

I would get the 20% battery life remaining pop-up message on my iPhone toward the end of each day, so i bought and installed the higher-capacity 1600mAh battery as well and even after 2 weeks of charge discharge, i still see similar battery life to my original (stock) battery. I am wondering if there is something you need to do to get the phone to realize the battery has been replaced.

Did you solve your problem with the new logic board?

From our experience, the 1600 mAh battery is essentially a scam. We got a batch of those initially and found them to be simply repackaged factory batteries with the 1600 mAh printed on the label. The vendor you purchased the battery from may or may not even know they ripped you off, so be nice to them. We are now in the habit of inspecting batteries very closely when a higher mAh is promised on the label, because often times it is a mis-label. We have yet to run across a legitimate 1600 mAh iPhone battery. Hope that helps!

So, is the standard battery which the phone comes with not up to the job? Can you recommend which battery I should use as a replacement?

I bought a new Phone... I still have the "apperently" faulty iPhone and will try to buy a regular 1150 (?) battery.
