iPhone not working after battery change!

recently the iphone 3g that i have was working fine. i needed the battery changed in it and had a friend replace it for me. well now that the battery(is brand new and works)was changed the iphone know longer works. i have tried looking through to make sure everything was connected correctly and it seems to be, the only conclusion i could come up with is that there are a few screws missing. The first two that you undo to phone, and one that holds the logic board down. anyone have suggestions for it plz and thank you!!! im just a chick who doesnt know about small stuff like this!!!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Have you tried turning vibrate on/off? it'll let you know whether the battery is dead/not connected (no vibrate) or your display isn't connected (connector 1)

I'd put the old battery back in and see what happens. Or, check connector 4 (the dock) and make sure the screw near/under the "don't remove" sticker are in tight enough to give good contact with the battery.
