Why wont my iMac see the new replacement Hard Drive?

History

Hi, I just got done replacing the original Hard drive that came in my iMac (Seagate Barracuda 250G), the original went bad, I replaced it with a 1TB 7200 RPM 64 mb cache, Western Digital SATA drive.

I followed the instructions in the guide precisely but the Mac is not "seeing" the new Hard Drive, it sees the external back up firewire drive and the install disk, what should I do?

Thanks,

Rolly

Ah yes, how silly of me, Disk Utilities did see the new drive, I formatted it, now I'm in business, reinstalling the system and then the backing up.

Thanks for the help Mayer.
