Audio Cable replacement step 8

History

Step 8 says: Use a spudger to pry the speaker cable connector up off the audio board. This connection doesn't seem to be a 'slide' or 'clip' in. The wire tips seemed to be 'soldered' and now they're detached. Was this what was to be expected? Breaking apart the soldering?

Please give the last three letters of your serial number so your exact machine can be identified. Is this your cable? http://www.ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/MacB...

mayer,

Serial # ends in MY51, and yes, that is the cable.
