Repairing firmware
Do we have anyone with experience in repairing firmware? I have disassembled many, replaced bad drives or ports, etc. I am looking for any Xbox 360 lessons-learned, knowledge, help hints, and any information on "bricking" and "unbricking".
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

ususally, xbox's don't get bricked, they have onboard firmware, and the firmware is not accessable externally, if you are trying to remove the NXE, it isn't possible, if you want to try, you may be able to trick the console into downgrading the firmware, by putting a firmware update file on the hard drive via special adaptor, but annother thing to know is that the xbox dvd drives are keyed to the motherboard that they shipped with, so if you get a new logic board, make sure that it comes with a DVD Drive

These are the ones I use whenever I get to tinker with an XBox or just to keep mine alive. I do like xbins since it does have the proper software for remapping as well as firmware issues. Comes in handy....good luck.
Sorry forgot a few things :) http://www.xbins.org/ http://www.360-hq.com/xbox360/hardware/ that is what I meant to attach...
