I think you're referring to the dock connector, which is 4.

iPhone 3GS Dock Connector Replacement

How do you know the battery is 2.2v? Have you tested with a multimeter? Could the battery be bad? You can get new ones fairly cheaply. iPhone 3GS Battery

Are you not able to put the phone in recovery mode or DFU mode to get itunes to find it? Let us know what error code you may have if you do that.

No, i mean 7 iPhone 3GS Dock Connector Replacement page 5. I tested the battery befor and after charging with a multimeter. (2,2V)The phone is 8 month old, so i think the battery is fine.I think with 2,2V the phone will not start and with USB plugged in it will start when the battery has enough power.I see that there is a white dock connector build in a black phone. It seems that the seller changed it :(( .

you need to check connector 4...

Also check that the dock bay is clean and undamaged, check the battery contacts with the board are clean, in contact and no damage to battery itself.

Charge the phone overnight from a wall charger and not the computer and see if that makes any difference. You might also like to take a look at the USB cable itself for damage and dirt..

I do not think there is a cable per se that is responsible for the battery charge. It is my understanding that this is done through the dock connector which in turn is soldered to a logic board and power management is done by the IC's.and if my research is right it is D1755 (338S0768), a chip made by Analog Semiconductor. So if your battery is not charging appropriately, I would look at the dock connector first, than the logic board.
