Screen replacement for my old iPod Classic
Hi,
I can play video on my iPod Classic 30 GB but are there not another one? I bought mine in August 2007 - a few months before the next generation. I looks like this one, but I have alsways thought mine was a 6th generation...
The screen on my iPod is ruined - should I look under LCDs?

The iPod Classic is not what you have, and there is no 6th gen iPod. What you have is what you posted this question under, iPod 5th generation (video). Anyways, the LCD screen you need would be this one and if necessary, the plastic covering would be this front panel.
However I'm not entirely convinced you need to replace your display- you do not say if it is actually visibly broken- if so, then you need to replace, but if it is just not playing video, that is most likely a simple software problem which can be solved by a restore.
