Replaced housing. Now all that comes up is the apple logo

Hi. I replaced the back housing of an iphone 3g with one i bought on Ebay. Now when I put the logic board in, it just boots up to the apple logo for thirty seconds and shuts off. I replaced the dock connector, the battery and the audio flex assembly to try and isolate the problem but nothing helps. Also, I've verified that the logic board works in another phone. Any suggestions?

sorry but no... one of the parts isn't being recognised by your board. short of changing those parts again until you find the fault. I would start with the battery first. Take a look at the motherboard in the working rear case... go to settings/general/about.... and copy down the batch no of your phone . search for a battery compatible with that batch, or buy the same batch as the battery in the compatible case.

PS I take it you've tried the whole itunes restore etc.
