Is a used one a good idea

It has 1500 songs and I would like to keep some. I understand that apple thinks that is stealing but i am paying for the device and the songs. How hard is it to delete and add songs?

It's according to if you have a Mac or a PC. Senuti (Mac only) http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/

and iPod Rip(Mac & PC) (also now called iRip2) will do the trick.http://thelittleappfactory.com/irip/?gcl...

Do you mean take the songs from the iPod to your PC?

1. Put your iPod in disc mode, got the drive and look for a folder called 'iPod_Control' and then 'music' inside that (may need to set Explorer to view hidden files/folders)

2. Copy all the music from the folders to a new folder on your PC hard drive. After, you should have one folder on your hard drive with all the files from the iPod together.

3. Open iTunes and goto Edit-->Preferences-->Advanced tab-->under the General tab select the folder where you copied the music to.

Select 'Keep iTunes Music folder organized' and click OK.

4. Click File-->add folder to library. Select the folder where all your copied music is.

iTunes will now import all your music into the playlists and rename them back to their correct names.

Hopefully that made sense :)
