Some Songs Will Not Play

History

Has anyone else encountered this? Some of the tracks in my Ipod Nano will only play for 5-10 seconds and some as long as a minute or two. These songs are in the minority, but it has been a consistent problem for as long as I have owned this Ipod. These same songs play fine on Itunes on my PC, but do not play in their entirety on my Ipod Nano. Thoughts? Ideas?

I do not think that it is your iPod since it otherwise functions well. If it is always the same songs, have tried to delete those of your iPod and re-sync them? I would also check on the properties of the files to make sure that they are the same sampling rate as the other songs. Sometimes that can make a difference as well. Again check the properties of the songs, adjust those to compare with a song that plays without difficulty and re-sync that particular song and see if it makes a difference.Oh, and you can try to reset your ipod as well just to make sure. Of course just my 2 cents...Good Luck

I have had this. it is due to corruption of the files on the ipod, sometimes by not allowing it to finish synching before unpulgging it.

Just delete the offending files and reload them from itunes
