Is it possible to upgrade the memory?

Is it possible to upgrade the memory in my iPod Touch 4th generation device from 8gb to 64gb?

If so, how?

Nope you can´t.

The memory is a chip on the logic board. I you can solder a new memory chip in place it would be possible, but to do this you need the tools the chip and the skills to do so. At least it would be cheaper to buy a 64GB iPod.

have seen a market stall somehow reprogramme the 8gb version into 32gb version, apparently they have to check the chip that is installed and some are 32gb/64gb versions which failed quality control and can be reprogrammed into their original specs but with the chances that one or two things fail or corrupt!

but im thinking a 512mb chip would be bigger so would there be a faster ram chip same size and supported model type for my ipod touch 4
