iPod won't charge or turn on.
My Ipod nano 5th gerneation will not turn on or charge. I tried to connect to my computer with the cable it came with, I also tried to connect it to the wall with a ipod charger and nothing works. I've had it for only a year and can't believe it! Can anyone please help?

akfcsdn, the first thing that I would do myself is to disassemble it and to change the battery, look for any kind of corrosion on the motherboard, check all the ribbon cable for corrosion and damage. Cheapest thing to replace first would be the battery to make sure that it is not the culprit. Of course do not forget to check the cable as well as the dock connector (where the cable plugs in on the iPod) and make sure all contacts are okay nothing bend or broken on the connector or the cable itself. Let us know what you find out after that so that we all can continue to assist with that error. Installing iPod Nano 5th Generation Battery iPod Nano Gen 5 Replacement Battery`
