Is 661-5396 top case compatible with 661-5590
i purchased a 661-5396 but then realized that my comp is the 2010 model. is the older part compatible with the newer computer.

It's basically the same part: MacBook Unibody (A1342) Upper Case
The earlier part is not listed to go on the later machine but the later one is listed to go on the earlier but if it will go one way, it should go the other: http://www.welovemacs.com/6615590.html
