My Acer Aspire One ZG5 suddenly won't power on: what to do?

History

I used it last night, and I was able to shut it down properly. Since I know the battery level is low, I charged it. As soon as the red LED turns green, I pulled off the charger plug. The next day when I opened it; it won't turn on at all. I plugged the charger, the charging led was lit, but pressing the power button won't turn on the unit. My laptop was just a month old. What can I do? Is it really time to go to a technician now?

If your unit is a month old I would take it to the dealer for warranty repair. If you have no local dealer call the Acer service department for assistance. here is a link to the company. Good luck.

This is a common problem with the Bios being wiped, probably. You will have to recover the bios. The below link will help.

remove the battery and the power cord. hold in the power button for 15 seconds to reset the computer. reinstall the battery, plug in the power and try again. Hopefully it will power up. If you have installed RAM in the socket it could be the bad RAM causing this as well.
