Why is my iPod touch freaking out?

My ipod touch is making a ''little box" around every app I touch and i have to double-tap for the app to start. It also won't let me scroll down on anything(ex. settings, safari pages, etc.)Another thing it has done is rarely let me get to my second page of apps. My ipod also shouts out everything I do so if I'm entering my passcode it shouts out the numbers of it, and a more annoying one is when my screen is locked...

In wrap up it has...

  1. 1: A little box around each thing I touch...
  2. 2: I have to double tap to get to the thing I want to get...
  3. 3: No scrolling down...
  4. 4: Rare access to my second page of apps...
  5. 5: Shouts out everything I type...

Rachel is it possible that you have the accessibility options on. It does sound like it, at least most of your problems. Check out this link and see if that is familiar.http://www.apple.com/accessibility/itune... and here is how to manage it. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3577 but these are just my 2cents and I may be way off:) good luck

See Bryan's easy answer. This works, was easy to understand and is quick. I followed the apple support link into confusion and dismay, yet Bryan's took 10 seconds and a few double clicks. Cheers mate!

Rachel this is the voiceover in accessibility, you might have turned it on. I suggest you go to settings, then general, then accessibility, from there you would see the voice over, tap it. Then turn it off.

By the way, for you to do this, you need to scroll down which you cannot, so use three fingers simultaneously to scroll. I hope this solves your problem :)

by

i had the same thing happen to me and the 3 finger thing actually works so thanks

by

Brilliant thanks for the info. My daughter had the same thing. I thought we were going to have to replace it. It took a couple of tries to get the three finger scroll thing to work but it did. Working perfectly now. Thank you.

Sync It To iTunes && Click Configure Universal Access..

Then Where It Says Speak Auto Text Click That Box Until It DOES NOT Have A Box Anymore. Then Click Apply. If Apply Isn't Optional Then I Guess Press Sync.

Hope I Helped.

I Had The Same Problem.
