I have a 16gb 2nd gen touch that was given to me. It had a broken LCD and a broken front glass/digitizer
Thanks,

First try this to fix the iPod Touch white screen of death, press in the sleep/wake button on the top left of the device, and the big circular home button on the front face on the bottom. Do this for roughly 10 or more seconds and the device should shut down/off. Give if a moment and then restart the device.
If it still does not work open it back up and double check all of your connections and recheck the work you already done. I doubt it is the new screen but I supose as a last resort, it could be a bad LCD. Hope this at least gets you started into the right direction. Good Luck
well I restored my Ipod 2 times and the screen works now. In order to the the touchscreen to respond I have to push on the screen very hard and the home button doesn't work at all. I have restored it again with the same results. please take note that i did buy the whole front panel assembled with home button and all. Any ideas?
