i have a macbook air. there are 8 memory modules, pretty well sticked to the logic board
I'm sorry--I forgot the memory was soldered in on your computer. The best advice I can give then is to visit the Apple support website with your problem.
They may have a cure.

remove firmware password macbook
this is the only way without sending it in to apple it is a hardware method
