I don't have your standard Phillips 00 screws on the bottom

History

So, I know this question has been asked on here, but since it was answered (about one month ago) I was just wondering if there is ANY FIVE-POINTED SECURITY APPLE SCREWDRIVERS that have been made, or outed for a consumer to buy. This obviously is a major set back because i cannot enter the device, and the answer provided in the most relevant post was not beneficial to me, because I do not feel justified to get a flathead screwdriver and jam it into these screws and ruin them.

I know that it's a 5-point bit, i just need to know the size... If anyone knows, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Zach

Those are the tamper-resistant torx in the 5 lobed variety. These are and have been commonly used on many of the European cars in various applications such as motor, brakes, lights and interior trim. These should be about the right dimension and can give you an idea which size you might be looking for. The screws that Apple installed on the iPhone 4 is T1

Size Inch point to point [in] Metric point to point [mm]

T1 .031 .81

T2 .036 .93

T10 .107 2.74

T15 .128 3.27

T20 .151 3.86

Looks like very limited availability :) http://www.traderscity.com/board/product...

Good luck and do not forget to change the screws to something a little more manageable....
