Is iPad power button the same structure as iPhone?

My Ipad power button no longer working. I did not find any direct help On it. Could I refer to the repair guide to iPhone?

Well, sure, inasmuch as it's an electronic microswitch / pushbutton. Open the iPad up, find the flex cable with the power button, check to see if the microswitch is broken (can you push it in with a toothpick?), replace if necessary (and if you can find the part).

And take pictures and make a repair guide :)

My ipad 3g power button also is not working. When i press it once, it does nothing, like I didnt pressed it. When i hold it for a sec and release it, at first the ipad locks and then Slide to power off screen is showing up. It seems like its stuck. Also I cant turn it off it comes on automatically by itself. Also cant put it in dfu mode. What should i do? Is it hard to repair the button by my own ? Thx
