My screen is cracked, but a white light comes on?
So I threw my ipod, and it cracked all over. When I plugged it in my laptop, a white light came on and my laptop recognized it. I know I need to replace the screen, but do I need to replace the LCD, (what is that, by the way?)

Yes, you will need to replace the LCD (the Liquid Crystal Display -- the part of the screen that shows images). You can find a step-by-step guide here.
