Fixing Error 23 - Error 512
Hello !
My Iphone3G won’t restore anymore, It stops with an error 23. By opening the error report, I can read that the error is in fact error 512, communication failure.
Is there anyway to fix/rapair that ?
May be a part to be changed ?

This answer deals with the same issue so maybe it will help shed some light on your problem. In short, it looks like the issue has to so with either a bad port on the iphone, a bad cable or corrupt iTunes software.

hardware error like 23 has too much variables
it means radio comm and more
the best thing to do is just pull out the pcb and insert it in different iphone that is a "known good one" (instaed of the pcb there) if error persists then its a = board issue with the radio's either bb,check for all parts '
