HP a660n - no response when I press on button

History

When I press the on button there is no response at all. Also the button itself has a slightly different feel. Is button broken? If so, how do I replace it? What are other possibilities? Thanx. Forgot to say; computer is HP a660n.

Start simple

If you can remove that portion of the case and jumper the button contacts you'll know if its the button, or the end connector or mother board.
