What would cause it to boot up to one beep then reboot?

What is the problem and how do I fix it?

The computer boots up to one beep then reboots and asks to type in mac-boot.

According to Apple your computer is not seeing ram. I'm listing a URL for the beep error codes for you. Ralph

You need to check out your ram--make sure its properly seated and in good condition. Them you might try switching it around to see if you have a bad module. Ralph
