display glass broken, distorted image

So I smashed the glass (tiny shards) and replaced it. Looks like I damaged the display in the process. Distorted rainbow-like swirlies on the bottom half or the display (even while powered off) and when powered on, completely distorted, top half works well enough to swipe to power off. Thoughts?

sounds like you damaged the lcd/display.

try opening iphone back up and reconnecting lead1. if that doesn't fix it you'll need to replace.iPhone 3GS Display
