My LCD screen is not working

History

I bought a Screen panel kit because I dropped my Iphone 3G and the screen shattered but the LCD was still working fine and I could still touch the screen and use my Apps. Before installing the new screen I took the Iphone apart to see how to do it by following the instructions but when I did that and connected the still broken screen, My LCD screen does not turn on. When I plug it up to charge the screen turns Yellow! and I can still hear the beep noise it makes when you put it to charge

make sure you turn the phone off first (hold power button until slide to power off) or you'll burn out the back light and no lcd will work!

Thanks but I was able to fix the problem... All i needed to do was to reset my Iphone with the center button and the lock button

Right! The LCD is not plug-and-play compatible. Your need to restart the phone after connecting it. Hold HOME+POWER Button till it restarts.

Hi,

open your iphone again, and disconnect touchscreen cable from the motherboard. Then try to switch on your iphone, and check if there are any changes. Please let me know result.

Thanks but I was able to fix the problem... All i needed to do was to reset my Iphone with the center button and the lock button

I had the same problem after replacing the battery. A simple full reset of the phone did this for me. Holding down the HOME+POWER for 10 seconds did the trick. Thanks guys.

i have a similar problem my iphone screen looks fine works fine but i press the left side of the phone and it turns white what could be the cost of this

HELP! i tried the POWER+HOME method and the screen still will not light up. i replaced the digi and the screen and now it wont light up. i tried what i saw in your forum but its still not working. what do i need to do? this is the third screen ive put on it and they all will not light up. (Phone was dead/off during the repair)
