Won't run on known GOOD batteries. Works only on AC

History

Hi, I have 2 G4 15" 1.67ghz low res laptops. One runs fine and charges and runs on both batteries. The "bad" laptop will ONLY work if it is plugged in, even if one of the good batteries is used. I've tried all the usual things like pram/pmu resets etc but nothing works. The bad laptop also fails to charge either of the batteries although it does"RECOGNIZE" the good batteries in System Profiler.

Does this mean a bad DC & SOUND card is the problem or is there something else that could be at fault?

Thanks!

Apple part # 922-6010 Here: G4 Aluminum 15" 1.5/1.67 GHz Battery Connector

also the DC cable:

Thank you so much. I appreciate your help. I was told at another site that it was the logic board, but I had my doubts. I've relied on this site for instructions on how to replace the logic board on another powerbook and now I realize I should come here for advice as well!

I am sorry, I don't understand your response/question Chinby. Can you try saying it a different way. If you are suggesting I should replace the batteries that is not correct. The batteries are good.
