Replacing iPhone 4 rear panel

History

Hi Walter,

Great photos! It's amazing how easy it seems replacing this rear panel... Obviously, I cracked my iPhone 4 and need to fix it now. Apple would charge me $199 to replace it (the phone, not the rear panel!) and needless to say I don't want to do that. Now, when I know how to replace it myself =) can you recommend where I could by this back cover from? Thanks in advance.

Good news! iFixit is now stocking iPhone 4 rear panels. You can purchase them in either black or white colors here. Good luck!

This appears to be the back cover on Ebay for $3.89. Its for a 4G, not sure it is the same.

I dont think it's good quality...cheap isn't always good...try buying one for $15 min...but tell me how that one goes if you buy it

If you are near an Apple Store, go in and ask them to replace the back cover only. It only costs $29 +tax. Much cheaper then doing it yourself
