3,5mm jack not working!

History

Hi, I got problem with my old 5th generation video 30GB iPod. The hole for 3,5mm jack is not working correctly >> the headphones (or whatever) are playing only for left side. The right side is just dead.

Is it possible to make it wokrking again ?

I've already replaced my display on this iPod once..but I guess there is no way to buy this small metal silver like part for 3,5mm jack ? Also the problem is that this part is fixed by a lot of glue... Is there some way to fix this ?

Anybody got some ideas / experiences ?

Thx a lot.

I recommend trying a second pair of known working headphones to make sure the the problem is not with the headphones. If the second pair of headphones demonstrates the same problem as the first, then you need to replace the headphone jack and hold switch by following this guide.
