need to retrieve photos/memory from damaged iPhone 4

History

phone got really hot so dropped it when i picked it up the back glass was completely cracked/shattered, now phone wont turn on anymore unless i connect it straight to mains charger & then it displays the screen you have when you first turn on for the first time to sync to computer, i have tried to sync to computer but the apple logo comes on & off as if it's trying to come on, im not so worried about the phone i just want to get the photos i took while camping if that's possible

did you ever find a fix for getting your photos off the phone? I am having the same problem and if you can refer me that would be helpful.

Firstaval, the battery was messed up

Plug it in and get the piscs off by syncing

Then, tell apple what happpened and you have a chance of getting it replaced

thank you for helping, ive managed to get phone to connect to computer but itunes wont let it sync unless i restore phone but that means i'll lose my data & i need the photo's i have on the phone

The battery will sometimes keep a phone from turning on. I would disconnect the battery and then plug it in to iTunes to see if it turns all the way on. If it comes up with a connect to iTunes symbol, i have had success before by using tiny umbrella to kick it out of recovery mode. If that doesn't work i would disconnect everything from the board (camera, digitizer, lcd, earpiece cable, etc.) besides the dock connector, a sort in any of these unnecessary components can potentially cause the iPhone to not turn on.

If you sync your iPhone to iTunes or iCloud before and make backup, it is two ways for you to recover the photos from iPhone.

I: Directly Recover Deleted Photos from iPhone 4/3GS

II: Recover Photos from iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS from iTunes Backup
