Unit won't power up

History

it doesn't power up (batteries or ac adapter) after being plugged into the wrong adapter. Is there an internal fuse link that can be replaced or???

this may be obvious but how old are the batteries?

if they are new, maybe the battery contacts are dirty

i will need pics to better help

With mine I find dirty battery contact to be a problem.
